My name is Marian Figley, and I am a natural hoofcare
advocate and trimmer. This is the home of The Naked Hoof, and is always under construction. I am currently in the process of updating the site for the first time in a long while, so please excuse the possible dead links, missing pictures, and deleted case histories. I hope to have more up very soon! If you are interested in case histories, pictures, more links to articles and sites, please feel free to join my discussion board, as I tend to post a lot of new stuff there instead of trying to update the web page. This
site is dedicated to promoting the natural hoof based on the wild horse
model. I have posted some links which may include information
regarding other styles of trim, because there is a huge
wealth of information to be gleaned from many of these sites. I have been accepted into The Equine Sciences Academy certification program, and plan on starting with Orientation in the spring of 2008. My background includes studies with Cindy Sullivan (Tribe Equus), Jaime Jackson (AANHCP), Pete Ramey (Hoof Rehab), and several other wonderful farriers and trimmers willing to take the time to educate and enlighten. |
I try to centralize my service area in Georgia to the I20 corridor area as far East as Covington, and West into Alabama; SW, West, and NW Atlanta Metro area (yes, I go up to Rome); but
it can certainly extend much farther than that depending on the situation. Currently my maintenance schedule is almost maximum capacity. I keep some room open for emergencies and rehabs, however. If you are in a situation with your horse and don't know what else to do, please give me a call or shoot me an e-mail. If I can't help, I might know someone who can. |
